1956

A family owned company with a generational legacy, the company was first founded by William E Bassett as the William E Bassett Company.

1970

Company expands product line to include two-way communications products as Bassett Sales Corporation.

1987

Scott Bassett & Craig Bassett acquire Bassett Sales corporation from their father, Bill Bassett upon his exit from the company.

2018

Bassett Sales Corportion is split between Scott and Craig Bassett in 2018.

Craig Bassett assumes ownership of the newly formed Bassett Communications Inc.

Bassett Communications is a proud second-generation company, originally founded in 1956 by William E. Bassett. Craig Bassett joined the business in July 1976 and has played a pivotal role in its evolution—from Bassett & Moore to Bassett Sales, and ultimately to the formation of Bassett Communications in 2018. With over four decades of industry experience, Craig continues to uphold the company’s legacy of trusted manufacturer representation and regional expertise.

Sean Melia brings over two decades of global communications experience to Bassett Communications. His career began in 2001 with Transcrypt International as the Latin American Sales Manager, followed by key leadership roles at Telex Radio Dispatch (Bosch Security) and Kenwood Systems Group. Sean joined Bassett Communications in 2012, where he oversees operations and territory development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Tufts University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management (ASU). Outside of work, Sean enjoys surfing and staying active.

His background includes strategic roles with leading manufacturers such as Icom, Kenwood, and Hytera, as well as his current role at Bassett Communications. Mark’s deep technical knowledge and commitment to client solutions make him a valuable partner in an increasingly complex communications landscape. He is also a proud grandfather of two and enjoys the fast-paced nature of the industry.

A Southern California native based in the region, she leads sales and account management efforts across Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona, leveraging Bassett’s deep regional expertise to help customers stay connected, efficient, and ahead of the curve.
