It is with great pleasure and pride for Bassett Communications to announce, recognize, and celebrate 40 years of being the Factory Representative for Kenwood Land Mobile Radios. It has been our honor and privilege to be associated with Kenwood in the marketing and selling of the best radio product in the industry for four decades.
In February 1983, Bill and Craig Bassett met in the City of Compton at Trio-Kenwood with Marketing Manager Carl Gates, LMR Sales Manager Bob Vincent and Amateur Sales Manager Tom Wineland to interview for Representation and begin what is now a forty-year partnership.
From the first crystal-controlled TK-100, 200, 300 portables and TK-601, 701, 801 mobiles to today’s microprocessor chip, multi-band, multi-protocol analog/digital NX-5000 Series the Mission has always been to deliver the best Product and Service to our Dealers and Customers.
Along the way, in 2015 Bassett Communications was able to add EF Johnson Technologies Inc. as a JVCKenwood Company Product Line for Representation when the two Companies combined forces to serve the Government, P25, and Enterprise Markets.
We thank and salute all of the individuals over the 40 years at Kenwood for the integrity, professionalism, and hard work to put Kenwood as a premier manufacturer in the LMR Industry. The journey is not over, we are just getting started.
