Celebrating 40 years in business together

It is with great pleasure and pride for Bassett Communications to announce, recognize, and celebrate 40 years of being the Factory Representative for Kenwood Land Mobile Radios. It has been our honor and privilege to be associated with Kenwood in the marketing and selling of the best radio product in the industry for four decades.

In February 1983, Bill and Craig Bassett met in the City of Compton at Trio-Kenwood with Marketing Manager Carl Gates, LMR Sales Manager Bob Vincent and Amateur Sales Manager Tom Wineland to interview for Representation and begin what is now a forty-year partnership.

From the first crystal-controlled TK-100, 200, 300 portables and TK-601, 701, 801 mobiles to today’s microprocessor chip, multi-band, multi-protocol analog/digital NX-5000 Series the Mission has always been to deliver the best Product and Service to our Dealers and Customers.

Along the way, in 2015 Bassett Communications was able to add EF Johnson Technologies Inc. as a JVCKenwood Company Product Line for Representation when the two Companies combined forces to serve the Government, P25, and Enterprise Markets.

We thank and salute all of the individuals over the 40 years at Kenwood for the integrity, professionalism, and hard work to put Kenwood as a premier manufacturer in the LMR Industry. The journey is not over, we are just getting started.

Did you know?
In March 2018, VIAVI acquired the Cobham AvComm and Wireless test and measurement business units. These units were previously part of Aeroflex and continued to use the Aeroflex name and logo under Cobham. VIAVI continued to use the Aeroflex name and brand mark as well, until March 2020, at which time all acquired business units will simply be known by VIAVI only. LEARN MORE

Congratulations to Sean Melia

It is with great honor and pleasure to announce that Sean Melia has been promoted to Vice President of Sales for Bassett Communications, Inc. Sean joined the Company nine years ago after outstanding years at Kenwood Systems and earlier with Telex. At Bassett Communications Sean has been responsible for sales of all our Principals product lines serving accounts in S Nevada and S California.

Sean has been an incredible member of our Sales Team and brings extensive experience in Sales, Customer Service, Customer Solutions and Customer Satisfaction. His energy, experience, enthusiasm and dedication to his professionalism is recognized and appreciated by all who work with him.

Dear Bassett Communications Arizona Customer,

We hope this note finds you safe and well during this difficult time. The Year 2020 will go down as one that changed our world and how we all do business.

If there is one certainty we experience and live with it is the fact that change in inevitable. That fact is the reason for reaching out to you today to inform you about a change in our Company and the commitment we have to serving your requirements.

For the last two years Bassett Communications has had Mark Jordan as our resident salesperson for the State of Arizona. He has been an extraordinary Representative for us and been an unfaltering foundation for providing great service, expertise and follow-through to all of our Customers. Mark has been offered and accepted a great opportunity with another Company that aligns with his desire for personal challenge and growth. We thank him for his professionalism and everything he has done. We are sorry to lose him as part of our Team and wish him all the best for his future.

We are pleased and excited to announce our new salesperson for Arizona, Steve Leach. Steve will start working for us on November 2, 2020. Steve is a great addition to our Team and is a resident in Mesa that has lived in Arizona for many years. In fact, as an indication and testament to continuing the superb service Mark provided; Mark introduced us and endorsed Steve as he has known and worked with him for many years. Steve has been a Dealer, Sales Manager for a Communications Shop, Manufacturer’s Representative, and the Technical Channel Manager for a Radio Manufacturer. His experience makes him extremely well suited to serve our Customers.
